I used to read your column on beer all the time back in the day. It's really fun and funny to read your reports about Rennes and French life because I studied there at the university during my semester abroad way back in 1976, and am in still contact with my host family. I went on to get both Bachelors and Graduate degrees in French and French Literature. I know Rennes has changed significantly since I was a student. I last visited in 2002, I believe, so it's interesting to hear current reports. Thanks for the newsletter.
I’ve been here six years and can confirm you hit fast forward in understanding expat life in France. The only noise we have here in Paris is the sound of construction; renovations for the upcoming Olympics, renovations to apartments that will be rented for the Olympics and street repair and bike lane installation for, you guessed it, the Olympics. Joyeux anniversaire de la vie française!🍾🇫🇷
You two are adorable and continue to inspire me and Roy to live our best lives! Are you European football fans yet?
Continue to live vicariously through your amazing journey!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! I live vicariously through your words and insights!! Merci, merci! C’est si bon!

Congratulations on your first year as Franco-Americans. Takes me back to my childhood just to say that! Bon Appetit!
Wonderful retrospective on an excellent-life-packed year of transformations and adventures! Can't wait to see you and Rennes in the flesh.
