It’s from a brand called flotte. There’s a link in the story. I checked and it looks like they deliver internationally ! I love it.

Understand! My hair just gets lip, but I have adopted Ed's Gortex rainhat for golfing--and it means that I can forego the umbrella!

We lucked out! I don't recall any rain when we visited you! Weather was perfect! Love the positive attitude!

Theresa, your comments on the weather in Rennes remind me of the old Mark Twain comment on the weather:

"If you don't like the weather in New England, wait 10 minutes."

I came with a good raincoat to Pau, near the Pyrenees. I never let rain stop my daily walk nor a stroll into town. As long as you’re dressed for the weather, nothing needs to stop. When I lived on the northcoast of California, Humboldt Co, I learned to dress in layers and be prepared - for sun bathing, cold, and rain all in the same day!

That raincoat looks great! And the attitude of forge on/no moaning is clearly the way to stay happy. I can get very impatient with umbrellas, so unless it is a downpour, I opt to keep it in my bag. A pair of good rain boots--keeping my feet dry, in other words--is my key dress need.

And I like misting rain-- unless one gets pretty soaked from prolonged exposure and then has to go inside and deal with American air-conditioning.

The boots were a game changer for me. My only other top concern is protecting my hair, otherwise it gets WAY frizzy. All my hats are silk-lined, but in warmer weather I'm kind of screwed.

Brittany must be the New England of France. Reminded me of this famous speech on the subject.

I'm going to sit down and read this one, Jim. Thanks for sharing.
