Yet another great post! The 48-hour tagging of "Baigneuses pas très académiques” says it all. Everyone from Philly no doubt remembers Cornbread and Cool Earl, and your post reminded me of my father's bemused take on those taggers that if he needed to get the word out, those two would be his go-to.
You are showing your age if you remember "Bird Lives." It was a very interesting and very sad blog post to see all the horrible graffiti in such a charming, historic town.

Hah... I know "Bird Lives" started in the '50s, but I remember seeing it in Havertown well into the '70s!
